I do not participate in insurance plans. I am more than willing to write out a receipt for you to reimburse with your insurance company after payment.

Basic

How do I know if this is a good fit?

I always offer a FREE 10-15 minute phone call. During that time, you can share what you are looking for, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

After that, I will share what I can offer. At that point, you and I can decide if this will be a good fit!


Intermediate

What will our first therapy session be like?

As a seasoned therapist, I say the same thing to every single client that walks through my door:

I talk about confidentiality, safety for you, and for those around you. I share that If I see you in public, I will not approach you to say hello. BUT if you want to say hi, you are more than welcome to. I share about the cancellation policy, and my note taking process.

After my housekeeping- it is all about YOU! I use a non-judgemental, collaborative approach to ensure it is a warm environment for you. During our first few sessions, I will ask questions about your life, past and present, to make sure I get to know you. During your sessions, you can vent, process, and receive constructive feedback (and maybe even some homework!) to help you find success.

I can assure you that we will laugh together, you may cry, and have many other emotions in between. AND that is OK!  Either way, I am here to be your support system, and help you get where you want to go.


Advanced

How often will we meet?

We meet as often as we BOTH agree is necessary. Most people meet weekly or bi-weekly. Having consistency is such a crucial part in creating a strong therapeutic relationship. That being said, realistically, we can meet when works for YOU. I may recommend increasing or decreasing based on your needs, but we will mutually agree on this.
